In the beginning fresh out of high school in the year 1981, I went to the Goodwill Institutional for the disabled. I learned to train disabled people how to strip and wax floors with a buffer machine. This was a challenge for some of my students as they were working with only one arm. I was so good at teaching I received an award from
Channel 9 called “Do the right thing”.
Then shortly after I obtained employment with the Clarion Hotel as a floor tech I stripped and waxed floors and shampooed carpets. I stayed with this company for approximately 5 years.
In around 1992 I helped my wife with her housecleaning jobs as she was pregnant. I had no idea how to dust, or what to dust, because I had never looked for dust. I had always done the floors and bathrooms. While working with my wife, Debbie I learned the art of dusting and making beds.
Debbie was so pregnant she would often leave me to do the housecleaning jobs on my own. It was my wife’s clients but they accepted me too. Before I knew it I was handling all the duties that homeowner had written out on their cleaning or to do list. When the client came home I had to fine tune anything that I missed. Before I knew it I realized that it would be a good idea to strike on my own picking up Residential cleaning jobs here and there to supplement our income. I started this in 1995 and by 1999 I was doing cleaning as a small business full time.
To reiterate my last JOB had ended in 1999 when I was the cleaning crew supervisor for a hospital. I had already been doing cleaning on my own part time for many years. My wife and I just decided to kick it up a few notches, add more clients and wa’ la, I created Today’s Cleaning Service.
Today’s Cleaning Service, Inc. was founded 18 years ago by me & my wife, Debbie Kay. I want my customers to know and feel not only that they are getting a superior cleaning of their homes, but it was also important to me, that the customer felt comfortable with my morals, values and integrity!
One of the biggest benefits to you the homeowner is that you are relieved from cleaning your home on the weekend. Our motto is “Your weekends weren’t made for housework!” You can now hire someone who will clean just as well if not better then you would. I know you don’t clean behind the toilet :-).
You will also have the peace of mine that the safety of your home and its valuables will be in very trusted hands.
